If it wasn’t there, would you fall over?

You’re truly leaning on something if you’d fall over if it wasn’t there. That’s a really bad thing if you lean on any part of this creation, because no created thing can bear the weight of the eternal God. That’s a really good thing if you lean on the One who is transcendent above His creation, because He never changes. Theologians call this His immutability. And leaning on Him is really, really good. Because I don’t deserve it. Especially when I remember He is so transcendent and apart from His creation, it makes his immanence is so much more gracious and glorious.
